Well, there is a super secret project I’m going to swatch for this weekend and the knitting will be begin madly for that project. As soon as I can find the darn pattern. I THINK I know where it is. Yeah, good luck with that.
Part of my 2011 goal is to knit only from stash – whether it be already yarn, or soon-to-be yarn. I’m currently spinning up my CVM/Corriedale/Cotswold fleece I bought at Estes Park last June. It was processed by Fleury Sheel and Wool LLC and it is spinning like BUTTAH! Check them out if you need some wool processed, they are true craftsmen and take it very seriously. Plus, they’re mah homies. Good peeps.
One thing on my needles is a pair of socks I’m knitting from yarn gifted to me by the lovely Jennifer Fleury, AlphaB Yarns “Beach Glass.” Plain sock on #1 US needles – magic loop, toe up, fleegle heel and elastic bind-off. This yarn is absolutely the height of squish. Soothing to knit – every now and then, I squeeze the fabric between my fingers and smile. This is what is knitting is about. Soothing, tactile and reminds you of the people you care for. Happy Friday!
